Product Description

The Pyramid Lake Beetle was the original of the foam streamer flies. Tied with a foam back to hover above the bottom when fished on a sinking lines.

Imitates: Aquatic Beetles, Dragonfly Nymph, Tui-Chub, Sacramento Perch, and Leech.

Useful for: Pyramid Lake stripping behind a fast sinking shooting head, or full sinking line.

Tricks/Techniques: Great when fished behind a woolly worm in line or as a dropper. This fly works well when the bottom is overgrown. It hovers above the sand behind a fast shooting head/sinking line type 5 or faster. Pausing between retrieves allows the fly to rise, giving the fly life similar to a jig. The popcorn coloration seems to be the most productive possibly because its the most popular.

This fly is hand tied at my own bench in the United States of America under the highest of scrutiny.  A tested and proven pattern.
