Jan’s Claws Crayfish nymph is just the right size to get the attention of all the trout in the river big and small.
Imitates: Small Crayfish
Useful for: The larger faster rivers in the west. Getting the flies down quickly in fast turbulent water while nymphing with or without an indicator.
Tricks/Techniques: This pattern is an extremely heavy anchor pattern very useful for high stick nymphing and fishing in faster water under an indicator. This pattern rolls well in heavy water and the orange highlights can’t help bur get noticed. Careful not to hit yourself casting this beast cause it may leave a mark.
This fly is hand tied at my own bench in the United States of America under the highest of scrutiny. A tested and proven pattern.
