Product Description

The Cone Head Woolly Bugger has caught more fish then any other streamer out there. A streamer fly pattern that should be in everyone’s box. Some form of woolly bugger has caught almost every species in both fresh and salt water.

Imitates: This fly has no specific imitation, it does however catch plenty of trout, bass, and carp. It can be fished as a larger nymph or streamer and retrieved. It resembles baitfish, leech, dragonfly nymphs, , sculpin, crayfish, and anything else under the water from 1-3″ in length.

Useful for: Retrieving behind sinking tips, full sink, and floating lines in rivers and stillwaters. The Cone Head version is great for getting down quick in lakes and rivers. Don’t hit yourself in the back of the head with this one.

Tricks/Techniques: There’s no wrong way to fish a bugger. Fish it as a large nymph under an indicator in moving water or dead drift to a swing for results, it all works. In stillwater the closest thing you can get to a guarantee is trolling a bugger behind an appropriate sinking line. The Black buggers is hard to beat when water is off color while the olive works great imitating sculpin. Try dead drifting the brown version for a spot on crayfish in heavy water.

This fly is hand tied at my own bench in the United States of America under the highest of scrutiny.  A tested and proven pattern.
