The Bottle Rocket was designed around the effectiveness of the traditional Tadpole. Slightly improved for better buoyancy and durability when retrieved quickly.
Imitates: Tui-Chub, Aquatic Beetles, Dragonfly Nymph, Sacramento Perch, and Leech.
Useful for: Pyramid lake stripping behind a fast sinking shooting head.
Tricks/Techniques: Great paired with a woolly worm or beetle. This fly works well when the bottom is overgrown. It hovers above the sand behind a fast shooting head/sinking line type 5 or faster. Pausing between retrieves allows the fly to rise, giving the fly life similar to a jig.
This fly is hand tied at my own bench in the United States of America under the highest of scrutiny. A tested and proven pattern.
